Xylophone (4-6 yrs)

 

This activity contains:

6 multi colour ice cream sticks
7 different size multi coloured
rectangular strips
2 cotton buds

What you need to keep while doing this:

Glue

Here’s how you make it:

STEP 1:

Take 1 of the ice cream sticks as a base. Paste 1 ice cream stick on the top half
of the base stick. Paste one more ice cream stick on the bottom half (as shown in the picture) of the base stick.
Repeat with the other 3 sticks.

STEP 2:

Arrange both the sticks such that both ends of smallest and biggest rectangular strip can be fixed on both sticks (see picture).

STEP 3:

Once they are arranged, start sticking the rectangle strips in ‘decreasing order’. Stick the longest strip at the bottom and the smallest strip on top.

Use the cotton buds as “Mallets (Playing Sticks)”
