Behavioral Check List
Are you a parent confused about your child’s behavior? Is he mean or is he too meek to live in this competitive world?
Take a week break from your work and analyze his behavior. To lighten up your task we have a Behavioral check list task ready for you.
All you need to do is, just give a score to your child from 1 to 10 against the respective behavior based on your/teacher’s understanding. By the end of the day, you will be able to analyse what your toddler is up to.
After filling up the above chart, you will be in a position to analyse where is your child lagging behind.
Based on his score, assign him few activities to strengthen his weak points and tell him you are watching him round the clock.
For Example: If he has got low score in ‘Use of Toys’, train him atleast thrice on how to neatly use his toys.
Observe him for a week and give him stars every day for the same activity. Explain him why he scored less or more stars for the day.
Here is the table for you to mark the score.
Here comes the most important section that can actually make the difference. To encourage your child’s active participation, you need to reward your child for every little positive thing he does.
Tell your child what he gets the day he reaches the target of number of stars set by you. Give him atleast 3 rewards per week. Don’t reward him with costly gifts. Your child tends to expect big things and fail to understand the importance of small little things.
You can target on developing 3 to 5 behavioral attributes in a week.
Once you start this process, make sure you complete it. Breaking the process in between, teaches your child, it is ok to stop doing things without completing.
Hope that helped.
