Is your child a Right Brain Thinker?
Right brain thinkers tend to be more imaginative, creative and intuitive. Their thought process is quite unstructured. They rely on their intuition rather than any kind of logical sequence. They tend to look at a picture as a whole and the finer details are not really looked at very closely.
Right-brain thinkers are also said to be more open minded as they do not feel the need to fit everyone or everything in a rigid structure and that includes behaviour. Logic is what makes sense to them and they will follow rules according to that.
The personal space of a right brain thinker might seem messy to an outsider but it usually makes sense to them. There is a method in the madness that they can understand. This translates in other areas as well. Right brain thinkers can see patterns and arrays and make connections.
Right brain thinkers are more spontaneous and impulsive. They are also extremely innovative. Thinking ‘outside the box’ is something a right brain type would do. They are in touch with their emotions and do not find it difficult to articulate them or show them through gestures or facial expressions.
If your child shows qualities of a right brain thinker then he/she probably learns best when visual, audio and kinaesthetic means are given to them. A demonstration of a concept would make it much easier for a right brain thinker to grasp than if only the theory has been explained. Famous right brain personality type includes Leonardo Da Vinci and Albert Einstein.
Right brain personality types tend to be suited for becoming an entrepreneur or going into research, arts, music, advertising or even athletics.
Right Brained kids love drawing, painting, solving jigsaw puzzles. As a parent, you need to encourage them in these aspects.
